ABOUT MYSTERY PARTY HQ

It all started at a friend's Halloween party. I hosted my very first murder mystery that night and was instantly hooked. I have spent the last 10 years in the beer industry, so it did not take long for me to realize that local bars and taprooms were the perfect home for this kind of experience. Great drinks, familiar faces, and just the right amount of dramatics. After a year and a half of hosting events and eventually writing my own original mystery stories, Mystery Party HQ became the official name for something I had already fallen completely in love with.

The format is simple but the energy in the room never is. There are no scripts, no actors. Before the event, each guest receives a character bio, secret objectives, and clues to guide their role in the story. Then the night takes on a life of its own. My favorite moment is always when someone fully locks in to their character, when you can see them let go and just have fun with it. It does not matter if they walked in shy or as the life of the party. Watching people step outside of themselves and surprise even themselves is the whole reason I do this.

I have a growing library of themes to choose from and am constantly working on new stories. For venues, my services are completely free. I take care of everything from ticketing and guest communications to props, setup, and hosting the night of the event. All you have to do is open your doors.
