You'll receive a character card with your role, backstory, and secret information. As the night unfolds, you'll mingle with other guests, share clues, and try to figure out whodunit — all while enjoying drinks at the venue. At the end of the evening, everyone submits their best guess and the killer is revealed. No acting experience required, and you're welcome to participate at whatever level feels comfortable!

Character cards are emailed 4-7 days before the event (specified in event description). If you purchase your ticket after that date, yours will be sent as soon as possible. Keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder, just in case)!

We do our best to match characters to the gender selected during registration, but this can't always be guaranteed depending on the story and group makeup. All characters are fun and fully playable regardless!

Costumes are not required, but they're always encouraged! Your character card will include a costume or prop suggestion, and you're also welcome to dress for the theme. Half the fun is showing up in character.

Check-in opens 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. The story begins promptly at the posted time — late arrivals may have their role reassigned, so we recommend arriving early to get settled in!

Events typically run 90–120 minutes depending on group size and the flow of the story.

Nope! Murder mystery parties are social and interactive by design. You'll be on your feet, mingling with other guests throughout the evening.

You must be 21+ to consume alcohol at events. Our themes include adult content, so we recommend guests be 18 or older, though there is no strict age requirement.

Our events are entirely guest-driven — there are no actors or planted characters. Every player is a real guest, which means the experience is different every single time. There is a host to guide the story and answer questions.

Absolutely! Groups are welcome. While character roles are randomized, your group will still interact and play together throughout the story.

It varies by venue! Some events are hosted at restaurants, others at bars or taprooms. Check the specific event listing for details on food and drink availability.

Tickets are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to another guest. Just reach out to us before the event and we'll help coordinate the transfer.

Each theme has the same ending every time it runs — so if you've already attended The Speakeasy Slaying, for example, we'd recommend sitting that one out and trying a different theme instead. New themes are added regularly, so there's always a fresh mystery waiting!
